After all, everyone deserves a vacation!

Step 1 - Book your flight

Step 2 - Book  Your Accommodations (with kitchen)

Blue Water Resort, Nassau Bahamas

Visit VRBO.com (Vacation Rentals By Owner) and choose a property.
Prices start at $100/night for a property right on the Ocean.
If you're traveling with a friend or friends,  VRBO Listing #364068 located at Bluewater Resort sleeps 6 comfortably so your cost would be under $60 per person for 3 nights.

Other great properties to consider are:
Westwinds Club
Westwinds II
Bluewater Resort
Best Western Paradise Island
Sunrise Beach Villas

All of these properties offer full kitchens which is very important when vacationing in The Bahamas on a Budget.

Step 3 - Plan your food

Picture

One of the biggest costs away from home is food and drink - restaurants are expensive at home and away.
Pre-plan your meals and order your groceries from FoodStore2Go.com for delivery ahead of time.  This simple step will save an hour and a half of valuable vacation time trying to navigate through a supermarket.  Have your groceries and liquor delivered to your vacation property around the same time you arrive.  FoodStore2Go.com is the only reliable grocery delivery service in The Bahamas that runs on time, in temperature controlled trucks, offers the best selection and  picks only the best  produce and meats.
FoodStore2Go delivers and unpacks your groceries for you for only $9.00.  You can contact them toll free at 1-855-FOOD-242.

Plan your meals and set a budget.  Grocery prices are much higher in The Bahamas, but they are much cheaper than eating out at restaurants three times a day.  Beer is also expensive, but liquor and wine are affordable.

Step 4 - Plan your transportation

Picture

Order a Scooter for your visit.  Call the Scooter Rental company ahead of time to arrange for your scooter to be at the airport when you arrive.  This will save the cost of a taxi from the airport.  You can follow the scooter rental guy to your property.  Cost is $50/day for a scooter for 2 persons.

It's a sweet ride and gas will cost you about $5 for the entire trip!

Step 5 - Pack Lightly and Go on Vacation!

Picture

Pack lightly - Try to fit everything you need for your vacation into a backpack.
You will save the baggage fees on your flight but don't forget: you won't be able to bring large containers of liquid.
However, you will save time at check in and gain over an hour of vacation time by not having to wait for your baggage to come off the plane and to clear customs.  Don't forget to get a free Bacardi Drink in the arrivals area in Nassau Airport.

Your Perfect Budget Conscious Itinerary
(planned for free!!)

Day 1 - Arrive at 2pm

Picture
  • Walk out of airport with backpack securely fastened to your back while everyone else waits for their bags - awesome!
  • Hop on your scooter, take the spectacular drive along Nassau's beautiful north coast (don't forget to watch the road and stay left)
  • Arrive at resort, check in.  Your room is fully stocked by FoodStore2Go.com before you arrive.
  • Pour a drink and stroll down to the ocean for a dip.
  • When you've had enough of the sun, surf and sand, take a dip in the pool to wash the salt water and sand off.  Then back to the villa to fire up the barbeque for some sausages, burgers or hot dogs.  After dinner and a rest, as the heat of the day cools, take in a game of tennis, then a dip in the pool, followed by drinks poolside while you meet new friends.

Day 2 - Tour the island and party the night away!

After a good night's rest, and a great breakfast, hop on your scooter for a ride out west to Sacred Space.  Sit at one of the picnic tables overlooking an endless turquoise Ocean and enjoy your picnic lunch.  Check out the Pirate Steps, then go for a hike along Clifton Heritage Park and take a swim in the Ocean at Jaws Beach.  Evening, take a stroll through Crystal Palace casino.  Think you can turn $20 into $500 to pay for your trip? Dance the night away to live music at 22 Above overlooking the casino.
